Notes

'Purple Tiger' rose (Rosa 'Purple Tiger') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Each flower has different purple, lavender, and white stripes and flecks, and the blooms smell of citrus and rose. Jack E. Christensen bred it in 1991. Give it great air circulation, because it is a little fussy to grow.

Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Clary sage, and Little bluestem.
