Notes
'Purpurea Plena Elegans' clematis (Clematis 'Purpurea Plena Elegans') is a vine for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It reaches about 10 to 13 feet tall and bears red flowers. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.
