Notes

'Pygmaea' nandina (Nandina domestica 'Pygmaea') is a shrub for borders, mass plantings, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It is evergreen, grows at a rapid rate, and has fall color. Birds visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Green Velvet buxus, Fountain grass, and Pansy.
