Notes

'Pyrkeep' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Pyrkeep') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant mauve-purple blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Its arching stems grow fast.

Pairs well with Gaura, Ornamental onion, and Creeping thyme.
