Notes
'Quirinus' peony (Paeonia 'Quirinus') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Red semi-double flowers have frilled, ruffled petals and a fragrant scent that draws bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The upright stems stand about 28 inches tall and need no support.
Pairs well with Dense blazing star, Switchgrass, and Picture tulip.
