Notes

'Radiant Red' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Radiant Red') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its red blooms open in early to mid summer and seem to glow. The bloom is a trim bomb held stiffly erect on stems of medium height. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Wild bergamot, and Cinnamon fern.
