Notes

'Rainbow Spring' peony (Paeonia 'Rainbow Spring') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The light yellow flowers have purple shading and open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Butterflies visit the blooms, and Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Greig's tulip, and Big bluestem.
