Notes
'Rare Etching' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rare Etching') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double white blooms have a rose form with soft pink and gold shades in the center. They carry a musky fragrance and open in early to mid summer. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it.
Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Blanket flower, and Royal fern.
