Notes

'Red Favorite' rose (Rosa 'Red Favorite') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It grows into a bushy mound with dark green leaves. Medium red, fragrant flowers appear in late spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Mathias Tantau, Sr. bred it in 1951.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Lily.
