Notes

'Red Goddess' peony (Paeonia 'Red Goddess') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant, semi-double blooms are velvety dark red with golden stamens, and they attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Archie M. Brand bred it.

Pairs well with Eastern columbine, Halcyon hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
