Notes

'Red' spotted beebalm (Monarda didyma 'Red') is a perennial with bright red flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The flowers bloom from early to late summer and attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. The compact, mounding habit suits the front or middle of a bed.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Tiger lily, and Bowl of Cream peony.
