Notes

'Red Sprite' peony (Paeonia 'Red Sprite') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows upright to 28 inches tall and bears fragrant, single red flowers that bees and butterflies visit. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, June hosta, and Carlton daffodil.
