Notes

'Reliance' peony (Paeonia 'Reliance') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant pink blooms have a bomb shape and sit on stiff upright stems, and bees and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Queen of Night tulip.
