Notes
'Repens' Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris 'Repens') is a tree for specimen plantings, rock gardens, ground cover, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It stays evergreen, has a fragrant scent, and tolerates drought. Birds also visit it.
Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Double Play Doozie spirea, and Mount Hood daffodil.
