Notes

'Retta' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Retta') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, light pink flowers have a dark, sunken center and bloom late in the season. The huge blooms are dense and shapely. The 32 stems may not hold up an extremely heavy load, so you may want to give them support.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Cinnamon fern, and New Jersey tea.
