Notes

'Reverie' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Reverie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double blooms open red and age to deep pink, so the color changes as the flowers mature. Cut the stems for bouquets, and the blooms will brighten a vase. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it in 1933.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
