Notes

'Rheingold' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rheingold') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Blush pink blooms fade to white, with pale yellow centers and red stigmas. Each stem carries one or two flowers that open in mid to late spring and early summer. Michael Miely bred it in 2012.

Pairs well with Blue sage, Spanish bluebell, and Royal fern.
