Notes
'Rhoda' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rhoda') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are crimson, which makes them a bold choice for bouquets. You can also plant it where the color will stand out in a bed. H.A. Terry bred it in 1921.
Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Royal fern, and Pink Impression tulip.
