Notes
'Rigas Barikades' tulip (Tulipa 'Rigas Barikades') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Orange-red flowers open from early to late spring on stems about 10 inches tall. Gunars Eltins bred it, and you can cut the blooms for a vase.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Fire and Ice hosta, and Duchesse de Nemours peony.
