Notes

'River Rubicon' peony (Paeonia 'River Rubicon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light yellow flowers are fragrant and face upward, and the upright plants need no support. Joshua Scholten bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Patriot hosta, and Queen of Night tulip.
