Notes

'Riversii' European beech (Fagus sylvatica 'Riversii') is a tree for specimen, accent, privacy screen, and hedge uses. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a dense shape that attracts birds. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it plenty of room to spread wide.

Pairs well with Paperbark maple, Obsidian coral bells, and Blue fescue.
