Notes

'Robusta' rose (Rosa 'Robusta') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and loamy or clay soil. It grows upright to about 5 to 7 feet tall and bears fragrant, medium red blooms from late spring into early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Reimer Kordes bred it in 1979.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, The President clematis, and Raspberry Sundae peony.
