Notes
'Rock and Roll' astilbe (Astilbe rosea 'Rock and Roll') is a perennial for borders, shade gardens, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It forms a clump 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Columbine, Minuteman hosta, and Cinnamon fern.
