Notes

'Snowdrift' astilbe (Astilbe rosea 'Snowdrift') is a perennial for borders, shade gardens, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, loamy soil. White blooms attract butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The clumping plant grows 18 to 24 inches tall and has brown, copper, and green foliage.

Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Cinnamon fern, and Endless Summer hydrangea.
