Notes

'Cappuccino' astilbe (Astilbe rosea 'Cappuccino') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, shade gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, loamy soil. Its coppery brown foliage forms a tidy clump, and bees and butterflies visit the blooms. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Columbine, Fire and Ice hosta, and Western sword fern.
