Notes
'Roger’s Scarlet' peony (Paeonia 'Roger’s Scarlet') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single scarlet red flowers face upward on upright plants that reach about 28 inches and need no support. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.
Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Switchgrass, and Stargazer lily.
