Notes

'Rolling Ridges' peony (Paeonia 'Rolling Ridges') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001, and it blooms in early to late spring with ruffled light pink petals and cream edges. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Paris coral bells, Jacob’s ladder, Big bluestem, and Greig's tulip.
