Notes
'Roma Secunda' peony (Paeonia 'Roma Secunda') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears early pink double flowers with frilled guard petals, and they face upward on upright stems that need no support. Joshua Scholten bred it. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.
Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Fragrant Bouquet hosta.
