Notes
'Rosalie' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rosalie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The red semi-double blooms show the American Beauty shade of red and open like a rose. Even when full blown, they still suggest a rose. Flowers fade outdoors, but blooms opened indoors keep their color for a long time.
Pairs well with Western sword fern, Sweet pepperbush, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
