Notes

'Rosea' star magnolia (Magnolia stellata 'Rosea') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, containers, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy soil. It grows slowly into a mounding shape. The fragrant flowers open with dark pink outer petals that soften to blush white as they mature.

Pairs well with New Jersey tea, Cinnamon fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
