Notes
Round-leaf calathea (Goeppertia orbifolia) is a perennial for containers and indoor spaces, and it needs little care. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 11 and warmer, down to about 40°F (4°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy soil. Its round green leaves have thick white stripes and are the largest of the calathea varieties. The leaves close at night.
Pairs well with Prayer plant, Brasil velvet-leaf philodendron, Jessenia pothos, and Whisk fern.
