Notes
'Rubato' tulip (Tulipa 'Rubato') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The red flowers open from early to late spring on pale green stems that reach about 24 inches tall. The petals have a canary yellow base and a lemon yellow edge inside. P. Mantel bred it.
Pairs well with Bridal Crown daffodil, Hollyhock, and Lemon Chiffon peony.
