Notes
'Ruby Port' peony (Paeonia 'Ruby Port') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Rose-red, slightly ruffled blooms with darker flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Blue star, Big bluestem, Grape hyacinth, and Inkberry.
