'Rubykins' hybrid willow (Salix koriyanagi 'Rubykins') is a shrub for rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. Red catkins appear in early to mid spring. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and wide, so give it room to spread.
Pairs well with Dogwood, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Ostrich fern.
