Notes

'Ruffled Bonnets' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ruffled Bonnets') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and the single light pink flowers have crinkled, ruffled petals and a sweet fragrance. Each stem carries 3 to 4 buds, so blooms keep coming in early summer. The flowers age to a blush white.

Pairs well with Scentara Double Blue lilac, Royal fern, Spanish bluebell, and Swamp milkweed.
