Notes

'Russell Emrick' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Russell Emrick') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, full double flowers open in early summer with pale pink outer petals and a flesh white center. The stems are tall and strong but bend a little, so you may want to give them support. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Royal fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
