Notes
'Rutcan' dogwood (Cornus 'Rutcan') is a tree for use as a specimen. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. White flowers open in mid to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The leaves also change color in fall, so the tree adds interest after the flowers fade.
Pairs well with Peony, Queen of Night tulip, and Kentucky bluegrass.
