Notes
'Ruth Cobbs' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ruth Cobbs') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep pink flowers are built up about three inches and are slightly flat on top. Silver edges frame the petals, which deepen in color toward the base. Stiff stems hold the blooms, and the green foliage looks good all season.
Pairs well with New England aster, Blue grama, and Grape hyacinth.
