Notes

RutHib2 rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos 'RutHib2') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows fast and stands erect, and it blooms in summer and again in autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Blue star, Black-eyed Susan, and Ruby Spice sweet pepperbush.
