Notes

'RutHib4' rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos 'RutHib4') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet, sandy or loamy soil. It grows fast with an erect habit and tolerates salt. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Blue star, Black-eyed Susan, and Ruby Spice sweet pepperbush.
