Notes

'Saffron Innocence' peony (Paeonia 'Saffron Innocence') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, clear yellow flowers have no red flares and show off yellow stamens. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Polish Spirit clematis.
