Notes

'Sagoromo' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sagoromo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are single, which means they have one layer of petals. You can cut the stems to bring the blooms indoors. Millet bred it in 1924.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Wild bergamot, and Little bluestem.
