Notes

'Samurai' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Samurai') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pink flowers have a Japanese type form, which gives each bloom a tufted center of narrow petals. Cut the stems for bouquets once the buds show color. Millet & Son bred it.

Pairs well with Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Smooth hydrangea, and Sedge.
