Notes

'San Martin' gladiolus (Gladiolus 'San Martin') is a bulb for borders and cut flower arrangements. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy soil. It grows about 69 inches tall, so it makes a strong back-of-the-border plant. The fragrant flowers attract bees. Red blooms with lighter stripes and a green-yellow mark on a white ground open in summer and again in autumn.

Pairs well with Hummingbird's mint, Mondo grass, and Autumn fern.
