Notes

'Sanctus' peony (Paeonia 'Sanctus') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant single white flowers carry the faintest flush, and bees and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. This is a third generation plant of its strain.

Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Eastern columbine, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
