Notes
'Sandra K.' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sandra K.') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it in 1940. It bears large, double, dark pink blooms in mid to late spring. The strong stems hold the flowers up well, and the foliage looks good all season.
Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Sedge, and Picture tulip.
