Notes
'Sarabande' eulalia (Miscanthus sinensis 'Sarabande') is a grass for borders, cottage gardens, specimen plantings, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows 48 to 60 inches tall and wide in an arching clump. Reddish-brown blooms appear in summer and again in autumn, and birds visit the plant.
Pairs well with Little Lime panicle hydrangea, Autumn Beauty sunflower, and Lenten rose.
