'Autumn Beauty' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Autumn Beauty') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows fast to 60 to 72 inches tall and branches into many blooms in a mix of red, orange, yellow, and burgundy. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer.
