Notes

'Scallopini' rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos 'Scallopini') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. It grows fast to 36 to 60 inches tall, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the deep rose pink blooms in summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Culver’s root, and Obedient plant.
