Notes

'Scarlet Flame' zinnia (Zinnia elegans 'Scarlet Flame') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast, stands 24 to 36 inches tall, and tolerates drought. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Snapdragon, Spider flower, and First Knight fountain grass.
